August 29, 2025: Rapid City, SD 57701 St. Thomas More Cavaliers (Rapid City, SD) boosters were content Friday as they observed their football squad thwart the visiting Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD), 29-8 in a non-league match.
The Cavaliers (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Chamberlain (Chamberlain, SD). The Cubs come into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Chamberlain defeated Roncalli (Aberdeen, SD), 27-0, in a non-league battle.
The Titans now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Elk Point-Jefferson for a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will play a Huskies team coming off a 61-19 league win over Parker (Parker, SD). The Huskies record now stands at 1-0.
