The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Shannon Red Raiders (Shannon, MS) and the host Olive Branch Conquistadors (Olive Branch, MS), witnessed Shannon's football squad knock off Olive Branch by a tally of 28-10.

The Red Raiders (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Louisville (Louisville, MS). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Louisville dropped by West Point (West Point, MS), 9-7, in a non-league bout.

The Conquistadors now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Lewisburg for a non-league bout on Friday, September 5. Olive Branch will encounter a Patriots team coming off a 44-26 non-league win over Mitchell (Memphis, TN). The Patriots record now stands at 1-0.
