The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Shasta Wolves (Redding, CA) and the host Lassen Grizzlies (Susanville, CA), saw Shasta's football team nip Lassen by a final score of 11-8.

With the win, Shasta advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Wolves travel to West Valley (Cottonwood, CA) to encounter the Eagles in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 11. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 1-0.

The Grizzlies now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Red Bluff for a non-league match on Friday, September 5. Lassen will confront a Spartans squad coming off a 16-12 non-league loss to West Valley (Cottonwood, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 0-1.
