In Friday's non-league challenge, the host River Islands Riptide volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Patterson Tigers.

The Riptide (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Grace Davis (Modesto, CA). The Spartans enter the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Grace Davis was beaten by Downey (Modesto, CA), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Tigers now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sierra for a test on Thursday, September 11.
