Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX) and the visiting Midlothian Panthers (Midlothian, TX), observed Amarillo's volleyball team hold off Midlothian by a count of 2-1.

The Sandies (13-7) will now prepare for their contest against Coppell (Coppell, TX). The Cowboys enter the non-league contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, Coppell got by Richardson (Richardson, TX), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

The Panthers now own a 10-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Timber Creek for a non-league battle on Friday, August 29. Midlothian will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Bell (Hurst, TX). The Falcons record now stands at 9-7.
