August 29, 2025: Killeen, TX 76542 Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Poth Pirates (Poth, TX) and the host Ellison Eagles (Killeen, TX), observed Poth's volleyball team top Ellison by a count of 2-0.
The Pirates (12-9) will now prepare for their contest against Tivy (Kerrville, TX). The Antlers go into the non-league battle with a 9-10 record. In their last battle, Tivy achieved victory over Alamo Heights (San Antonio, TX), 3-0, in a league battle.
The Eagles now own a 1-19 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ingram Moore for a non-league battle on Saturday, August 30. Ellison will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Cedar Ridge (Round Rock, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 13-5.
