Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY) boosters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Franklin County Flyers (Frankfort, KY), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Montgomery County improves its record to 4-3 on the season. The Indians travel to Newport Central Catholic (Newport, KY) to face the Thoroughbreds in a non-league challenge on Friday, August 29. The Thoroughbreds come into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Newport Central Catholic lost 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, KY)

Next, the Flyers meet the Scott Eagles (Covington, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 29. Franklin County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Dixie Heights (Edgewood, KY).
