In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Gering Bulldogs volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Wright Panthers.

The Bulldogs (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Alliance (Alliance, NE). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Alliance was defeated by Gering (Gering, NE), 3-0, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Laramie for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. Wright will face a Plainsmen squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Green River (Green River, WY). The Plainsmen record now stands at 4-1.
