In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Gulf Breeze Dolphins volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Hernando Tigers.

The Dolphins (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Austin (Decatur, AL). The Black Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 9-1 record. In their last challenge, Austin gained a win over Bayside Academy (Daphne, AL), 3-2, in a non-league test.

The Tigers now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southaven for a Class 7A Region 1 outing on Tuesday, September 2. Hernando will play a Chargers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to DeSoto Central (Southaven, MS). The Chargers record now stands at 3-4.
