In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Wharton Tigers (Wharton, TX) volleyball squad were winner over the host Brazosport Exporters (Freeport, TX), by a margin of 3-1.

Next up, the Tigers face the Van Vleck Leopards (Van Vleck, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 2. Wharton will attempt to better on its 7-10 season record. The Leopards go into the contest with a 4-18 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Lamar Consolidated (Rosenberg, TX).

With the loss, Brazosport moves to 1-6 on the year. The Exporters travel to Sweeny (Sweeny, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a 4A Region IV District 26 contest on Tuesday, August 30.
