August 30, 2023: Newton, NC 28658 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league test between the Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) and the visiting West Iredell Warriors (Statesville, NC), saw Newton-Conover's soccer squad knock off West Iredell by a margin of 4-1.
The Red Devils now sport a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Owen for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 5. Newton-Conover will meet a Warhorses squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Warhorses record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, West Iredell drops to 0-4 on the season. The Warriors host Asheboro (Asheboro, NC) to meet the Blue Comets in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 5. The Blue Comets come into the test with a record of 5-0. Asheboro won 4-0 in their recent non-league test against Western Alamance (Elon, NC)
