Missouri High School Softball - Kirkwood bounces University City
August 30, 2023: Kirkwood, MO 63122 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Kirkwood Pioneers (Kirkwood, MO) and the visiting University City Lions (St. Louis, MO), saw Kirkwood's softball squad achieve victory over University City by a count of 15-0.
The Pioneers now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eureka for a non-league match on Friday, September 1. Kirkwood will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 7-5 non-league win over Lindbergh (St. Louis, MO). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-2.
With the loss, University City falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Bayless (St. Louis, MO) to face the Bronchos in a non-league match on Friday, September 1. The Bronchos enter the match with a record of 0-2. Bayless lost 23-12 in their recent non-league match against Jefferson (Festus, MO)
