Mississippi High School Football - Canton Academy thwarted by Heritage Academy
August 30, 2024: Columbus, MS 39705 Heritage Academy Patriots (Columbus, MS) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Canton Academy Panthers (Canton, MS), 21-13 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Heritage Academy advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Patriots host Biggersville (Corinth, MS) to play the Lions in a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. The Lions go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Biggersville lost 50-26 in their recent non-league battle against Hamilton (Hamilton, MS)
The Panthers now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host West Memphis for a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. Canton Academy will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 34-7 non-league loss to Hot Springs (Hot Springs, AR). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-1.
