Saint Francis Lancers (Mountain View, CA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA), 35-14 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Saint Francis improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Lancers host McClymonds (Oakland, CA) to play the Warriors in a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. The Warriors go into the battle with a record of 0-1. McClymonds lost 35-34 in their recent non-league battle against Archbishop Riordan (San Francisco, CA)

The Highlanders now have a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to St. Augustine for a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. Helix will play a Saints team coming off a 34-16 non-league loss to Poway (Poway, CA). The Saints record now stands at 0-2.
