Homestead Mustangs (Cupertino, CA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors (San Jose, CA), 41-18 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Homestead improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Silver Creek (San Jose, CA) to play the Raiders in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 5. The Raiders go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Silver Creek won 20-0 in their recent non-league battle against Evergreen Valley (San Jose, CA)

The Aztec Warriors now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Harbor for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 5. Yerba Buena will play a Pirates team coming off a 34-12 non-league loss to Del Mar (San Jose, CA). The Pirates record now stands at 0-1.
