Illinois High School Football - Lyons tops Prospect
August 30, 2024: LaGrange, IL 60525 The Lyons Lions football squad scored 38 points and limited the visiting Prospect Knights to 21 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.
The Lions now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wheaton-Warrenville South for a non-league test on Friday, September 6. Lyons will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 35-10 non-league win over Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, Prospect drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Knights host Palatine (Palatine, IL) to meet the Pirates in a non-league test on Friday, September 6. The Pirates come into the test with a record of 0-1. Palatine lost 28-27 in their recent non-league test against St. Charles North (St. Charles, IL)
