Texas High School Football - Ysleta tops Parkland

August 30, 2024: El Paso, TX 79924

The Ysleta Indians football squad scored 34 points and limited the host Parkland Matadors to 26 in the Indians non-league triumph on Friday.

The Indians now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Socorro for a non-league test on Friday, September 6. Ysleta will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 28-20 non-league loss to Horizon (El Paso, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Parkland drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to Riverside (El Paso, TX) to meet the Rangers in a non-league test on Friday, September 6. The Rangers come into the test with a record of 1-0. Riverside won 49-21 in their recent non-league test against Big Spring (Big Spring, TX)
