The Section Lions football team (Section, AL), was topped 35-6 in Friday's non-league bout with the host Valley Head Tigers (Valley Head, AL)

With the win, Valley Head advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Tigers host Gaylesville (Gaylesville, AL) to encounter the Trojans in a 1A Region 8 bout on Friday, September 6. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Gaylesville won 58-6 in their recent non-league bout against Asbury (Albertville, AL)
