Pennsylvania High School Soccer - Springfield nudges Methacton
August 30, 2024: Norristown, PA 19403 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Springfield Cougars (Springfield, PA) and the host Methacton Warriors (Norristown, PA), saw Springfield's soccer squad hold off Methacton by a count of 1-0.
The Cougars (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Upper Darby (Drexel Hill, PA). The Royals enter the Central battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Upper Darby was edged by Phoenixville (Phoenixville, PA), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Warriors battle the Boyertown Bears (Boyertown, PA) in a Pioneer battle, on Tuesday, September 3. Methacton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Bears enter the battle with a 0-1 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Downingtown East (Exton, PA).
