Pennsylvania High School Volleyball - West Scranton overwhelmed by Pocono Mountain East
August 30, 2024: Scranton, PA 18504 Pocono Mountain East Cardinals (Swiftwater, PA) followers left the game satisfied Friday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host West Scranton Invaders (Scranton, PA), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Pocono Mountain East advances its record to 1-3 on the season. The Cardinals host East Stroudsburg North (Dingmans Ferry, PA) to face the Timberwolves in a EPC18 - North test on Wednesday, September 4. The Timberwolves go into the test with a record of 0-2. East Stroudsburg North lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Stroudsburg (Stroudsburg, PA)
The Invaders now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Blue Ridge for a Lackawanna test on Tuesday, September 3. West Scranton will face a Raiders squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Greater Nanticoke Area (Nanticoke, PA). The Raiders record now stands at 1-0.
