The crowd at Saturday's non-league contest between the Slippery Rock Rockets (Slippery Rock, PA) and the host Franklin Knights (Franklin, PA), witnessed Slippery Rock's football squad knock off Franklin by a tally of 26-7.

The Rockets (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Sharon (Sharon, PA). The Tigers enter the District 10 Region 4 battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Sharon was topped by Cathedral Prep (Erie, PA), 43-41, in a non-league battle.

The Knights now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Warren for a District 10 Region 6 battle on Friday, September 5. Franklin will play a Dragons team coming off a 47-0 non-league loss to Corry (Corry, PA). The Dragons record now stands at 0-2.
