The crowd at Saturday's non-league contest between the South Anchorage Wolverines (Anchorage, AK) and the visiting Lathrop Malemutes (Fairbanks, AK), witnessed South Anchorage's football squad topple Lathrop by a count of 31-7.

The Wolverines (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bettye Davis East Anchorage (Anchorage, AK). The Thunderbirds enter the Cook Inlet battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Bettye Davis East Anchorage was topped by Southwest SD (San Diego, CA), 39-21, in a non-league battle.

The Malemutes now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Chugiak for a Railbelt battle on Saturday, September 6. Lathrop will encounter a Mustangs team coming off a 45-6 non-league win over Encinal (Alameda, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-2.
