St. Francis Prep Terriers (Fresh Meadows, NY) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host St. John the Baptist Cougars (West Islip, NY), 41-27 in a league test.

The Terriers now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Holy Cross for a non-league test on Saturday, September 6. St. Francis Prep will meet a Knights squad coming off a 28-18 non-league loss to St. Joseph-by-the-Sea (Staten Island, NY). The Knights record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, St. John the Baptist drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Holy Trinity (Hicksville, NY) to meet the Titans in a Catholic AA I test on Friday, September 5. The Titans come into the test with a record of 0-0.
