West Virginia High School Soccer - Pocahontas County knocks off Philip Barbour
August 30, 2025: Dunmore, WV 2493 Pocahontas County Warriors (Dunmore, WV) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Philip Barbour Colts (Philippi, WV), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Pocahontas County moves its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Warriors host Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league test on Saturday, September 6. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 3-1. Robert C. Byrd won 6-0 in their recent non-league test against Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV)
The Colts now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buckhannon-Upshur for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 2. Philip Barbour will confront a Buccaneers squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Cabell Midland (Ona, WV). The Buccaneers record now stands at 1-1.
