August 30, 2025: Clear Lake, IA 50428 Clear Lake Lions (Clear Lake, IA) followers left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Eagle Grove Eagles (Eagle Grove, IA), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Clear Lake advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Lions host Humboldt (Humboldt, IA) to face the Wildcats in a North Central test on Thursday, September 4. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 2-1. Humboldt lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Norwalk (Norwalk, IA)
The Eagles now sport a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Hancock for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 2. Eagle Grove will face a Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Garner-Hayfield/Ventura (Garner, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.
