Texas High School Volleyball - Crystal City winner over Edcouch-Elsa

Crystal City Javelinas (Crystal City, TX) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets (Edcouch, TX), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Crystal City improves its record to 12-5 on the season. The Javelinas travel to Highlands (San Antonio, TX) to encounter the Owls in a non-league test on Saturday, August 30. The Owls go into the test with a record of 11-8. Highlands won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Winn (Eagle Pass, TX)

Next, the Yellowjackets meet the Pace Vikings (Brownsville, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 test, on Tuesday, September 2. Edcouch-Elsa will attempt to improve on its 9-11 season record. The Vikings go into the test with a 20-4 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Jones (Beeville, TX).
