In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Maui Sabers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights.

The Sabers (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Baldwin (Wailuku, HI). The Bears come into the Maui challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Baldwin edged Lahainaluna (Lahaina, HI), 3-0, in a league challenge.
