August 30, 2025: Mt. Vernon, IA 52314 Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA) followers left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Northeast Rebels (Goose Lake, IA), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Mt. Vernon advances its record to 5-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Solon (Solon, IA) to face the Spartans in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9. The Spartans come into the outing with a record of 0-0.
With the loss, Northeast drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Rebels host Bellevue (Bellevue, IA) to play the Comets in a non-league outing on Thursday, September 18. The Comets come into the outing with a record of 2-1.
