Illinois High School Volleyball - Shawnee can't get by Sesser-Valier
August 30, 2025: Sesser, IL 62884 Sesser-Valier Red Devils (Sesser, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Shawnee Redskins (Wolf Lake, IL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Red Devils (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Zeigler-Royalton (Zeigler, IL). The Tornadoes come into the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Zeigler-Royalton was nudged by Trico (Campbell Hill, IL), 2-0, in a league test.
The Redskins now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pope County for a non-league test on Saturday, August 30. Shawnee will face a Pirates squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Gallatin County (Junction, IL). The Pirates record now stands at 0-3.
