Georgia High School Softball - Crisp County bounces Tiftarea Academy
August 31, 2022: Cordele, GA 31015 Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Crisp County Cougars (Cordele, GA) and the visiting Tiftarea Academy Panthers (Chula, GA), witnessed Crisp County's softball squad tip Tiftarea Academy by a count of 6-0.
The Cougars now sport a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Monroe for a 3A Region 1 match on Thursday, September 1. Crisp County will face a Golden Tornadoes squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Crisp County (Cordele, GA). The Golden Tornadoes record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Tiftarea Academy moves to 3-4 on the season. The Panthers travel to Brookwood (Thomasville, GA) to face the Warriors in a GIAA 3AAA match on Thursday, September 1. The Warriors go into the match with a record of 1-3. Brookwood lost 11-7 in their recent league match against Terrell Academy (Dawson, GA)
