The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Thomas Dale Knights (Chester, VA) and the visiting L.C. Bird Skyhawks (Chesterfield, VA), observed Thomas Dale's football squad defeat L.C. Bird by a count of 17-0.

The Knights now own a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Glen Allen for a non-league contest on Friday, September 15.

Coming up next, the Skyhawks encounter the Monacan Chiefs (Richmond, VA) in a Dominion contest, on Friday, September 8. L.C. Bird will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Chiefs go into the contest with a 0-2 record after their 26-0 non-league loss to Hanover (Mechanicsville, VA).
