Texas High School Football - South Hills drops to Venus

In Thursday's non-league game, the Venus Bulldogs (Venus, TX) football team knocked off the host South Hills Scorpions (Fort Worth, TX), by a final score of 33-18.

The Bulldogs (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Jefferson (Dallas, TX). The Patriots come into the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Jefferson toppled Newman International Academy (Cedar Hill, TX), 21-6, in a non-league game.

The Scorpions now hold a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to The Colony for a 5A-1 Region I District 3 game on Friday, September 8. South Hills will battle a Cougars team coming off a 49-35 non-league loss to Royse City (Royse City, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 0-2.
