Illinois High School Soccer - Salem overwhelmed by Highland
August 31, 2023: Salem, IL 62881 The crowd at Thursday's non-league test between the Highland Bulldogs (Highland, IL) and the host Salem Wildcats (Salem, IL), saw Highland's soccer squad triumph over Salem by a margin of 7-1.
The Bulldogs now sport a 4-0 record. They play next when they host Triad for a Mississippi Valley test on Tuesday, September 5. Highland will meet a Knights squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Granite City (Granite City, IL). The Knights record now stands at 4-0.
With the loss, Salem drops to 2-2 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Valmeyer (Valmeyer, IL) to meet the Pirates in a non-league test on Friday, September 1. The Pirates come into the test with a record of 0-3. Valmeyer lost 1-0 in their recent league test against Carlyle (Carlyle, IL)
