August 31, 2023: Long Lake, MN 55356 Orono Spartans (Long Lake, MN) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting St. Anthony Village Huskies (Minneapolis, MN), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Spartans confront the Mahtomedi Zephyrs (Mahtomedi, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 5. Orono will attempt to better on its 3-0 season record. The Zephyrs enter the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Irondale (New Brighton, MN).
The Huskies now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Robbinsdale Cooper for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 7. St. Anthony Village will confront a Hawks team coming off a 15-0 league loss to Wayzata (Plymouth, MN). The Hawks record now stands at 0-3.
