August 31, 2023: Palos Heights, IL 60463 The crowd at Thursday's non-league test between the Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL) and the visiting Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL), saw Shepard's soccer squad get by Thornton by a margin of 2-1.
The Astros now sport a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Romeoville for a non-league test on Saturday, September 2. Shepard will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Bolingbrook (Bolingbrook, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 5-1.
