Nebraska High School Softball - Boone Central/Newman Grove bounces North Bend Central
August 31, 2023: North Bend, NE 68649 Boone Central/Newman Grove Cardinals (Albion, NE) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host North Bend Central Tigers (North Bend, NE), 9-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Cardinals now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pierce for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 2. Boone Central/Newman Grove will face a Bluejays squad coming off a 8-7 non-league win over O'Neill (O'Neill, NE). The Bluejays record now stands at 7-4.
With the loss, North Bend Central falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Cuming County (West Point, NE) to face the Cadets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 5. The Cadets enter the challenge with a record of 1-8. Cuming County lost 13-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Tekamah-Herman (Tekamah, NE)
