August 31, 2023: Shreveport, LA 71105 The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Captain Shreve Gators (Shreveport, LA) and the visiting Leesville Wampus Cats (Leesville, LA), saw Captain Shreve's volleyball squad beat Leesville by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Captain Shreve upgrades its record to 2-1 on the year. The Gators travel to Iowa (Iowa, LA) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league bout on Friday, September 1. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Iowa won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Hamilton Christian (Lake Charles, LA)
The Wampus Cats now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Iota for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 2. Leesville will encounter a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Ascension Episcopal (Lafayette, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-1.
