August 31, 2024: Wausau, WI 54401 The Newman Fighting Cardinals felled the visiting Phillips Loggers football team by a score of 34-12 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Fighting Cardinals face the Almond-Bancroft Eagles (Almond, WI) in a Mideast (8 Man) challenge, on Saturday, September 7. Newman will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Eagles go into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 52-0 non-league win over Gibraltar (Fish Creek, WI).
The Loggers (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Flambeau (Tony, WI). The Falcons go into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record.
