Pioneer Panthers (Royal Center, IN) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Andrean Fighting 59ers (Merrillville, IN), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Pioneer improves its record to 8-5 on the season. The Panthers travel to Linton-Stockton (Linton, IN) to face the Miners in a non-league test on Saturday, August 31. The Miners go into the test with a record of 4-6. Linton-Stockton lost 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Barr-Reeve (Montgomery, IN)

The Fighting 59ers now own a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Munster for a Northwest Crossroads test on Tuesday, September 3. Andrean will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Hanover Central (Cedar Lake, IN). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-9.
