Millard West Wildcats (Omaha, NE) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Omaha Westside Warriors (Omaha, NE), 5-3 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now sport a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bellevue East for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 2. Millard West will face a Chieftains squad coming off a 16-1 league win over Omaha Northwest (Omaha, NE). The Chieftains record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Omaha Westside falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Omaha North (Omaha, NE) to face the Vikings in a A District challenge on Tuesday, September 6.
