The Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers (Buckhannon, WV) football routed the host Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV), 42-3 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Buccaneers face the Philip Barbour Colts (Philippi, WV) in a Big Ten bout, on Friday, September 8. Buckhannon-Upshur will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Colts enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 56-27 league win over Grafton (Grafton, WV).

The Vikings (0-2) will now prepare for their bout against Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV). The Panthers enter the Coalfield AA bout with a 0-2 record. In their last bout, Lincoln County was crushed by Roane County (Spencer, WV), 34-6, in a league bout.
