The East Central Hornets football team (Moss Point, MS), was beaten 34-6 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Pascagoula Panthers (Pascagoula, MS)

The Panthers (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Gautier (Gautier, MS). The Gators come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Gautier achieved victory over D'Iberville (D'Iberville, MS), 41-20, in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lawrence County for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 8. East Central will meet a Cougars team coming off a 27-24 non-league loss to Jefferson Davis County (Bassfield, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 0-2.
