In Friday's non-league game, the Sumter Gamecocks (Sumter, SC) football team smashed the host Goose Creek Gators (Goose Creek, SC), by a final score of 50-15.

The Gamecocks (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Crestwood (Sumter, SC). The Knights come into the non-league game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Crestwood overwhelmed Andrew Jackson (Kershaw, SC), 49-7, in a non-league game.

The Gators now hold a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Beaufort for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 8. Goose Creek will meet a Eagles team coming off a 20-17 non-league win over Hilton Head Island (Hilton Head Island, SC). The Eagles record now stands at 1-2.
