Pennsylvania High School Football - New Brighton routed by Hopewell

September 1, 2023: New Brighton, PA 15066

In Friday's non-league game, the Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA) football team smashed the host New Brighton Lions (New Brighton, PA), by a score of 56-7.

The Vikings (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Western Beaver (Industry, PA). The Golden Beavers come into the non-league game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Western Beaver was ripped by Shenango (New Castle, PA), 21-15, in a non-league game.

The Lions now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rochester for a non-league game on Friday, September 8. New Brighton will battle a Rams team coming off a 36-12 non-league win over Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Coraopolis, PA). The Rams record now stands at 1-0.
