Ohio High School Football - Northwest prevails Huntington

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Northwest Mohawks (McDermott, OH) and the visiting Huntington Huntsmen (Chillicothe, OH), observed Northwest's football squad defeat Huntington by a count of 42-23.

The Mohawks now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Wheelersburg for a Southern Ohio II contest on Friday, September 8. Northwest will play a Pirates squad coming off a 28-20 non-league loss to Jackson (Jackson, OH). The Pirates record now stands at 1-2.

Coming up next, the Huntsmen play the Piketon Redstreaks (Piketon, OH) in a Scioto Valley contest, on Friday, September 8. Huntington will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Redstreaks go into the contest with a 3-0 record after their 42-14 non-league win over Valley (Lucasville, OH).
