The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Palo Alto Vikings (Palo Alto, CA) and the host Leland Chargers (San Jose, CA), observed Palo Alto's football squad defeat Leland by a count of 38-20.

The Vikings now own a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Sacred Heart Prep for a non-league contest on Saturday, September 9. Palo Alto will encounter a Gators squad coming off a 42-23 non-league win over Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory (San Francisco, CA). The Gators record now stands at 1-1.

Coming up next, the Chargers encounter the Overfelt Royals (San Jose, CA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 7. Leland will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Royals go into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 39-30 non-league loss to Woodside (Woodside, CA).
