The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Penn Cambria Panthers (Cresson, PA) and the visiting Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers (Philipsburg, PA), observed Penn Cambria's football squad defeat Philipsburg-Osceola by a count of 34-3.

The Panthers now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Forest Hills for a Laurel Highlands contest on Friday, September 8. Penn Cambria will play a Rangers squad coming off a 22-13 league win over Clearfield (Clearfield, PA). The Rangers record now stands at 2-0.

Coming up next, the Mountaineers play the Clearfield Bison (Clearfield, PA) in a Laurel Highlands contest, on Friday, September 8. Philipsburg-Osceola will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Bison go into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 22-13 league loss to Forest Hills (Sidman, PA).
