In Friday's non-league game, the Stevenson Patriots (Lincolnshire, IL) football team knocked off the host Taft Eagles (Chicago, IL), by a final score of 52-24.

The Patriots (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Lake Zurich (Lake Zurich, IL). The Bears come into the North Suburban game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Lake Zurich toppled Glenbrook South (Glenview, IL), 16-3, in a non-league game.

The Eagles now hold a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Brooks for a Chicago Public - Red game on Friday, September 8. Taft will battle a Eagles team coming off a 42-14 non-league loss to Shepard (Palos Heights, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.
