The Victory Christian (Pell City, AL) varsity football team won Friday's home non-conference game against Whitesburg Christian Academy (Huntsville, AL) by a score of 24-6.
The Victory Christian Lions topped the visiting Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors football team by a final score of 24-6 in Friday's non-league outing.
The Lions (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Talladega County Central (Talladega, AL). The Fighting Tigers come into the 1A Region 6 game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Talladega County Central was dropped by Central of Coosa County (Rockford, AL), 38-2, in a non-league game.
The Warriors now hold a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ider for a 2A Region 7 game on Friday, September 8. Whitesburg Christian Academy will battle a Hornets team coming off a 46-13 non-league win over Asbury (Albertville, AL). The Hornets record now stands at 1-0.
