The Lions (8-8) will now prepare for their challenge against South Garland (Garland, TX). The Titans enter the non-league challenge with a 4-7 record. In their last challenge, South Garland was nudged by Rowlett (Rowlett, TX), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Raiders meet the Turner Lions (Carrollton, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 2. Skyline will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 2-0 non-league win over South Garland (Garland, TX).
Match Summary
In a rousing match against Skyline, the Lady Lions showed that they take a bit of time to get their energy up after a break. After a slow start, they began to get their game together, but not before falling to Skyline in the first set 20-25. Now they were awake and ready to play though. Led by beautiful defense from senior Lia Diaz and sophomore Grecia De La Garza, the Lions fought their way back in, taking a quick lead and keeping it, taking the 2nd set 25-20. In the third and final set, the Lions took a quick lead, determined to stay undefeated, and won the final set 15-11, end the game with great serves by senior Andie Flores.
